For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him should never perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) |
Christmas Heart
I’ve re-arranged the furniture to make room for the tree
I’ve re-arranged the pantry for my annual baking spree
I’ve re-arranged my schedule to shop and bake and sew
I’ve re-arranged the outdoor tools, hoping for some snow
But before I do another thing, before I let the season start
In the quiet of this moment Lord, please re-arrange my heart
Oh precious Holy Father, You gave Your only Son
That we could have eternal life through Him, The Holy One
And though Your gift cannot be matched or placed beneath a tree
Let me give what’s not convenient, let me give a part of me
Your gift cannot be purchased, yet its value has no end
So let my gift be priceless, let me pause and be a friend
As You sent Your gift to us that night, in form of infant man
Let me see this Holy story through a child’s eyes once again
May the wonder and the glory pour through everything I do
With the excitement of a child let my heart be filled with YOU
Then let the Christmas banner of the Lord be lifted high
I will deck the halls, pray for snow, and bake a pumpkin pie
I will fill my home with wondrous smells, I’ll decorate the tree
But let the world see Christ in Christmas, and let it start with me

Sharon, I loved “The christmas Calf”. Reading your dad’s updates made me cry. I flew down to see my dad in Arizona 3 years ago. The Lord had me sing the Aronic blessing over him. He now is in the last stages of Altziemer’ s.
